I have been playing guitar since the tender age of 13 (which involved sitting in front of the record player and learning songs by The Cars, Pat Benatar, and AC/DC – which is finally proving useful, over 40 years later).
Highlighting my musical career was a 2-year stint on rhythm guitar and backing vocals with Seattle psychedelic rock fixture, The Purrs, with whom I recorded a full-length CD in 2008 (“Amused, Confused, and More Bad News”), and an EP in 2009 (“Tearing Down Paisley Garden”). I joined The Purrs for 2 West Coast Tours, 1 US Tour, a music showcase in New York City, and many shows at Seattle’s top clubs. I also had the opportunity to perform live on KEXP, on the Cheryl Waters show.
I’ve played in original and cover bands in Seattle and Boston - including many gigs playing 90’s alternative rock covers in Boston’s Irish Pub circuit (let’s just say I’ve played all the Third Eye Blind anyone would ever want to play in one lifetime). My influences include Keith Richards, Aimee Mann, and Elliott Easton.
I moved to Seattle in 1999. I live with my wife, Allie and cat, Beeza, in the Montlake Neighborhood. My hobbies (besides guitar) include woodworking, photography, pizza-making, and travel.
