I’m the newest member of the totally rad Scrunchies, joining them in fall ‘24 as a vocalist. My prior musical experience includes touring with my high school choir and more recently, performing in the 80's cover band Pink Mr. Floyd/Detroit Leaning at our local Seattle Loyal Heights Elementary School auction. LHE parents out there, if you know, you know. Am I right? I have also enjoyed playing the acoustic guitar for many years.
While my resume isn't as robust as many of my bandmates, I was featured in the May 2020 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine for my work as a frontline healthcare worker during the pandemic. While many of my other incredibly talented band members were out there trailblazing in numerous bands over the years, you could find me pulling the usual 12 hour shift as a nurse in the hospital. Indeed, perhaps, my greatest motivation to join this group is to finally quit this crazy rat race and go on tour with The Scrunchies. Europe summer 2025? What do you think guys?
I am grateful for all the support I have received from my husband, Alfredo and kids, Sofia and Andres in this new endeavor. While my kids compliment my vocal quality, they also have requested that I not sing while they are present with me in the car. And, with my musical interests ranging from The Indigo Girls to Bad Bunny, I am sometimes called La Reggaetonera by my husband Alfredo. All this to say, if you want to dance your pants off and revisit some super fun tunes, The Scrunchies deliver!
