John!

Mild-mannered realtor named John Blacksmith by day, rock star named Bon Jacksmith when on stage with the Scrunchies! The 80’s were my formative years (middle school/high school/college)— and I loved all the rad songs and incredible fashions of the day.  In high school I owned a DJ business—so I was “musician-adjacent”—being able to get a full dance floor fired up by playing the awesome tunes. From that moment on, I harbored a secret fantasy to one day join a band.

No musical bona fides here—I just got super lucky to surround myself with real musicians who give me the microphone occasionally and let me belt it out. The thrill of seeing people having fun on the dance floor and singing along never goes away, that’s for sure!
